Returning items from a purchase that earned Kohl's Cash

Not spent yet: the Kohl's Cash may be reduced or voided. Kohl's example: spend $100 and earn $20, then return a $60 item. The new $40 total no longer qualifies, so the unused $20 is voided.
Already spent: your refund is reduced by the Kohl's Cash you no longer earned. Kohl's example: spend $100, earn $20 and use it, then return $50 of items. A $50 total only qualifies for $10, so your refund is cut by $10.

Returning items you bought with Kohl's Cash

If the Kohl's Cash coupon is still valid, the amount goes back onto that same coupon.
If it has expired, Kohl's issues a new Kohl's Cash coupon for the same amount.
