How do I return a Christmas gift to Kohl's?
Short answer: Kohl's accepts most returns with or without a receipt, and associates can look up purchases by order number, Kohl's Rewards, credit card or app barcode. If the purchase can’t be found, you get Kohl’s Merchandise Credit at the lowest discounted price from the past 13 weeks (photo ID may be required).

- Sephora at Kohl’s items need a receipt and go back to Kohl’s, not standalone Sephora stores.

- Kohl’s merchandise bought Oct 4–Dec 30, 2026: returnable through Jan 31, 2027.
- Sephora at Kohl’s bought Oct 30–Dec 30, 2026: through Jan 31, 2027.
- Otherwise: 90 days for most items, 120 days for Kohl’s Cardholders.
Shorter windows and exclusions
- Premium electronics & watches: 30 days; mattresses: 30 days.
- Not refundable: beverages, opened breast pumps, trading cards, blind box items/toys.
