Short answer: Plan on 30 days from delivery. An item delivered Nov 27, 2026 is due back by Dec 27, 2026; one delivered Nov 30 by Dec 30, 2026. New Apple-brand products get only 15 days. Amazon hasn't posted 2026 holiday return dates on its Return Policy page yet (checked Oct 19, 2026).

Black Friday is Nov 27, 2026 and Cyber Monday is Nov 30, 2026. Amazon counts from the delivery date, not the order date. A Cyber Monday order that arrives Dec 3 gets 30 days from Dec 3.

Most items (30 days): Nov 27 + 30 days: 3 days gets you to Nov 30, 27 more days = Dec 27, 2026. Cyber Monday: Nov 30 + 30 days: 30 days into December = Dec 30, 2026.
New Apple-brand and Boost Infinite products (15 days): Nov 27 + 15 days: 3 days gets you to Nov 30, 12 more days = Dec 12, 2026. Cyber Monday: Nov 30 + 15 days: 15 days into December = Dec 15, 2026.

How we count: the day after the purchase (or delivery) is day 1, so we add the number of days to the date. If a store counts the purchase day itself as day 1, the deadline is one day earlier. Aim to return a day early, and go by the date on your receipt or order page.

Traps to watch

Some deals are Final Sale. Amazon lists "specific discounted items" among its Final Sale products, which can't be returned or refunded. Check the product page before you buy.
Opened, activated or used software and video games, and opened collectible cards, board games and collectible figurines, carry a restocking fee of 100% of the item price.
Returning something damaged, missing parts, not in original condition or with tags removed can cost a damage fee of up to 50% of the price.
Miss the return-by date and Amazon can charge a late fee of 20% of the item price for the first 30 days, then 100%.
With a "Bundle with Savings" you have to return every item in the bundle; Amazon won't give partial refunds. If an item counted toward a discount, your refund is reduced.
Items shipped by third-party sellers go back to the seller, not Amazon.
Heavy or bulky items (50 lb or more, or longest side over 59 inches) can cost money to send back, and so can returns from customers with an unusually high return rate.

Price drops after Black Friday

Amazon doesn't refund the difference if a price drops. Its Pricing and Price Matching page says it doesn't offer price matching compensation, so your only option is a return within the window.
